ORDINANCE 1952-12273 ORDINANCE # 12 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING PERSONS CONVICTED OF CERTAIN CRIMES, WHO SHALL COME INTO OR BE WITHIN THE TOWNSHIP OF DELAWARE, IN THE COUNTY OF CAMDEN, TO REGISTER IN THE OFFICE OF THE CHIEF OF POLICE OF SAID TOWNSHIP AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, OF THE TOWNSHIP OF DELAWARE, IN THE COUNTY OF CAMDEN, STATE OF NEW JERSEY, THAT: Section 1 & 2 of the Ordinance requiring persons convicted of certain crimes, who shall come into or be within the Township of Delaware, in the County of Camden, New Jersey, to register in the office of the Chief of Police of said Township and prescribing penalties for viola- tions thereo, adopted on July 27, 1942, and amended on May 2$, 1945 and amended on September 8, 1947, be and the same is hereby amended and sup- plemented to read as follows: SECTION NO. 1. Every person who shall come into the Township Of Delaware, in the County of Camden, from any point outside of said Township, whether in transit through said Township or otherwise, and who shall have been convicted in any Federal Court, or the Court of any state Within ten (10) years prior to his entrance into this Township, of the crime of counterfeiting, theft, larceny, embezzlement, forgery, obtaining obtaining property by false pretenses, burglary, money by false pretenses, felonious assault, robbery, arson, Murder, rape, kidnapping, extortion, violation of any law prohibiting the carrying of deadly weapons, taking or enticing any person for the purpose of obtaining ransom, or violation ational or State law relating to the maintenance Of any P rovision of any N Of a disorderly house bigamy, assignation or any other sex crime, the ortation of a ny narcotic, bookmaking, pool sell - Possession, sale or transP in or maintain a lot - g, keeping a gambling ambling resort, or advertise, engage t t to the Chief of Police of the Township of Delaware, in ery, shall repor en upon his arrival within the boundaries of said Town- the County of Camden, furnish to such Chief of Police, in a written statement ship, and shall the true name of such person and each other name signed by such person, a full and complete or alias by which such person is or has been known, descri tion of himself, the place of his birth and present residence, the P name or designation of the crime or crimes hereinabove in this section 274 enumerated of which he shall have been convicted, together with the name of the place where each such crime or crimes was or were committed, the name under which he was convicted, and the date of the conviction thereof, the name, if any, and the location of each prison, reformatory or other penal institution in which he shall have been confined as punishment there- for, together with the location or address of his residence, stopping place or living quarters when so convicted and each one thereof if any and /or the address or location of his intended residence, stopping place or living quarters in this Township, and each one thereof, with a descrip- tion of the character of each such place, whether a hotel, apartment house, dwelling house, or otherwise, giving the street number thereof, if any, or such description of the address or location thereof as will so identify the same as to make it possible of location, and the length of time during which he expects or intends to reside within the terri- torial boundaries of the Township. SECTION NO. 2.
