ORDINANCE 1952-21291 ORDINANCE #21 AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE SALARIES OF THE MEMBERS OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OF THE TOWNSHIP OF DELAWARE, AND THE DATE FROM WHICH THE SALARIES SHALL COMMENCE, PROVIDED HOWEVER THE SALARIES SHALL BE APPROVED � IP OF AT VOTERS OF THE TOWN THE NEXT GENERAL pN TH AY�OF�NOVEMBER,NINETEEN DELAWARE HUNDRED AND FIFTY -TWO. That the approval or disapproval of said salaries for the members of the Police Department of the Township of Delaware shall be submitted to the legal voters of the Township of Delaware at the next general election to be held on the 4th day of November, 1952• 3. If a majority of the legal voters voting at such elec- tion shall vote "yes", the aforesaid salaries shall be approved and shall be payable to the members of the Police Department of the Township of Delaware in equal weekly installments, beginning January 1st, 1953. 5 4. If a majority of the legal voters voting at such elec- tion shall vote "no ", the salaries of the members of the Police Department shall continue as heretofore, and this ordinance and the increased sala- ries herein provided shall be of no effect. 5. The Clerk of the Township of Delaware is hereby directed to forward a certified copy of this ordinance to the Clerk the County of Camden after the same has been duly passed and advertised according to law and said Township Clerk is further directed to notify the said County Clerk that a vote is desired on the question of increas- ing and fixing the salaries of the members of the Police Department of the Township of Delaware in the amounts and at the time fixed in this ordinance at the next general election to be held on the 4th day of November, Nineteen Hundred and Fifty -two. , J ,B and of Commiss' ners.
