ORDINANCE 1960-240J ` 3 G ORDINANCE NO. 240 m w M l AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 131 ADOPTED MARCH 27 1939 ENTITLED "ORDINANCE REGULATING ^ CANVASSING WITHIN THE TOWNSHIP OF DELAWARE, IN THE COUNTY OF CAMDEN AND STATE OF NEW JERSEY,, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF,"a AS AMENDED. The Board of Commissioners of the Township of Delaware in the County of Camden, DO ORDAIN: Section 1. Sections 3 and 4 of Ordinance No. 131 adopted March 27, 1939 entitled "Ordinance Regulating Canvassing Within the Township of Delaware, in the County of Camden and State of New Jersey, and Providing Penalties for the Violation Thereof," as amended, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 3. Before the permit may be issued: "(a) the applicant shall make an application giving under oath his or her full name and address, age, height, weight, place of birth, whether married or single, length and place of residence, whether or not previously arrested or convicted of a crime, by whom employed, ad- dress of employer and description of project for which he or she is canvassing, solicting or distributing; "(b) the applicant and photographed in the quarters. A copy of th, shall be affixed to and issued and shall not be or defaced; shall be Delaware f ingerp´┐Ż become a removed, fingerprinted Township Police Head - rints and photograph part of any permit altered, obliterated "(c) each applicant shall pay a fee of Eight Dollars ($8.00). "Section 4. RULES AND REGULATIONS: "No person shall canvass, solicit, distribute circulars, or other matter, or call from house to house in the Township of Delaware, except between the hours of 9 A.M. and 5 P.M. The permittee shall exhibit his or her permit to any police officer or other person upon request. The permittee shall be courteous to all persons in canvassing, soliciting or distributing and shall not importune or annoy any of the inhabitants of the Township and shall conduct himself or herself in a law- ful manner. On expiration of the permit, the holder thereof shall surrender the same to the officer in charge at Police Headquarters." Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsis- ten with this amending ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of s uch inconsistencies only. e' k.. Section 3.
