ORDINANCE 1960-269ORDINANCE NO. 269 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING, ESTABLISHING AND FIXING SEWER RENTALS OR CHARGES FOR COM- MERCIAL, BUSINESS AND MANUFACTURING ES- TABLISHMENTS USING THE ERLTON SEWER SYS- T OR ERLTON SEWER PLANT. The Board of Commissioners of the Township f Delaware ware in the County of Camden, DO ORDAIN: Section 1. The annual sewer rental or charge imposed upon commercial, business and manufacturing establishments for the use, operation and maintenance of the sewers and sewage system and i the disposal facilities of the Township of Delaware commonly known as the Erlton Sewer System or Erlton Sewer Plant, shall be and is i hereby amended, established and fixed as follows: i (a) The sewer rental for commercial, business and manufacturing. establishments shall be an annual charge based upon the water consumption of the properties served, as measured by the quantity supplied for the then current calendar year as follows; I, (i) For a property using water as measured by meter of up to Forty Thousand (40,000) gallons per day, the sewer rental shall be Thirty -five 'i Cents (35,�) per each thousand of gallons used per year. i (ii) For a property using water as measured by meter of in excess of Forty Thousand (40,000) j gallons per day, the sewer rental shall be I �! Thirty -five Cents (351�) per thousand of gallons of "annual rate of flow ". For the purpose of this Section, the "annual rate of flow" shall be determined by multiplying the average daily-flow j by Three Hundred and Sixty -four (364). The i average daily flow shall be determined by dividing by Five (5) the total water consumption from Monday to Friday of each week, inclusive. S1 9 (b) The said sewer rentals shall be payable to the Collector of Taxes quarterly on the first day of February, May, August and November. If the sewer rental imposed hereby is not paid within Thirty (30) days from the date due, same shall become delinquent and shall bear interest thereon at a rate charged against delinquent taxes in the Township of Delaware, and shall become a lien on said property and shall be collectible as in the case of other municipal taxes, charges, or liens. (c) Whenever sewer service to any property begins after the first day or terminates before the last day of any year, the sewer rental for such property for such year shall be for that portion of the year during which said property is served. Section 2. All ordinances or resolutions or parts of ordinances or resolutions inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency only. Section 3.
